Barnes is located 5 miles South West of Central London on the river Thames. It has an attractive village atmosphere yet is very conveniently placed for sightseeing around London.
Mainline tubes can be reached by a short bus ride, either to Hammersmith or Putney. Alternatively, the British Rail station is a five minute walk away, with connections to Waterloo and Paddington.
Local attractions include the Wildlife Wetland Centre, Richmond Park and various sports facilities. There are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance.

Take British Railways to Victoria Station, underground, district (green) line to Hammersmith
Take British Railways to Liverpool Street Station then Metropolitan (pink) Line to Hammersmith.
From Heathrow and Gatwick – Once out of the Underground station at Hammersmith, but still in the CENTRAL shopping plaza, take the moving staircase / escalator to the bus station. Take the 209 bus to Barnes Pond and cross to Nassau Road, 1st right and 1st Left is Gerard Rd.Alternatively 419 bus stops at the end of Gerard Road along Lonsdale Road.
From Barnes Bridge Railway 5 mins walk up along river, 3rd on right after mini roundabout.
